NOTE : (SELECTION PROCESS WILL BE CHANGE FROM BASED ON ENTRY)
Candidate must have a qualified in 10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 60% marks and over all subjects 60% and at least one of the following subjects Chemistry/Biology/Computer science.
AGE : 17-22 years
As per the official notification, SC/ST and OBC candidates will get age relaxation of 5 years and 3 years, respectively.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates who scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 with Maths and Physics from a recognized board are eligible to apply. 5% relaxation in minimum marks will be given to the candidates belong to SC/ST category and those who have outstanding achievements in sports events at the Open National Championship/ Inter-state National Championship.
Scheme of ICG Navik GD written exam is as follows :
- The written examination will be of objective type.
- The Question Paper Language will be Hindi and English Both.
- There Will Be 80 Question.
- The Time Duration Was 01 Hour.
- There will be a composite paper of 12th standard.
- There is NO negative marking. Candidate must read instructions in this regard printed on paper before proceed.

Physics
Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Gravitation, Solids and Fluids, Heat Thermodynamics, Oscillations, Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiations, Principles of Communication.

Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognised by MHRD, Govt. of India.

80 Questions will be asked in the Examination.
The Time Duration Will be 60 min for the Exam.
The Question paper will be consist on the subject Quantitative aptitude, Mathematics, General Science, General English, General awareness (Current affairs & General Knowledge) & Reasoning (Verbal & Non verbal).
There will be a composite paper of 12th standard.
There is NO negative marking. Candidate Should Check the instructions on the Question Paper before proceed.
Those who qualify written examination will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Initial Medical Examination (Preliminary). The testing procedure will take 2-3 days.
Quantitative aptitude :
Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages, Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart.
Mathematics :
Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ration and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Mensuration.
General Science :
Questions on General Science will cover general appreciation and understanding of Science including matters of every day observation and experience, as may be expected of a well educated person, who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline.
General English :
Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.
General awareness :
Current events, History, Culture, Geography, Economics, Indian Constitution, Environmental Studies, Health and hygiene, Basics of Hindi Language,Hindi Grammar, Child welfare, Women welfare, Social welfare, Disaster Management, Sports, Literature, Science.
Reasoning : Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
Age:
Male candidates between 18 and 22 years of age are eligible to apply for the posts. SC/ST and OBC candidates will get 5 years and 3 years upper age relaxation, respectively.
Educational Qualification:
• Candidates must complete 10th or Matriculation
• Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/Electronics and Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) with 60% in aggregate
• SC/ST candidates will get 5% relaxation in minimum cut off
Candidates applying for the Yantrik posts in Indian Coast guard have to go through a there level selection procedure. Selection process for Yantrik includes a written test, physical fitness test (PFT) and initial medical examination. After final medical examination, candidates will be enrolled for a training.
Written Test
The written test for Yantrik in Indian Coast Guard will be held during the month of April. Find the important highlights of the Yantrik written exam below:
• This test will be objective in nature containing MCQs
• Questions will be asked from respective branches (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication) along with a few questions from General Knowledge, Reasoning, General Aptitude and English
• Candidates will be called for the test after being shortlisted by the exam conducting body
• Short-listing criteria for applications will be based on higher percentage of marks in the diploma
• Indian Coast guard reserves the right to increase the qualifying percentage for a particular centre if more number of applications are received with higher percentage of marks
